I purchased two Infinity HVAC systems by Carrier almost five years ago.A compressor went bad and I was informed that I no longer had the advertised full ten-year warranty on all parts because I had not filled out a post card with a lot of personal information such as salary, race, age, and others.

I maintain that I did it online, but they said no. I asked the installers if I had paid for a full ten-year warranty on parts and they said yes. I do like this system and selected it because I thought it was the best one for me and I liked the warranty. I, however, will never buy or recommend a Carrier system again, not because I don't like the equipment, which I do, but because I feel the company is dishonest, unlike the very professional installers whom I consider friends.

My recommendation is to not trust anything Carrier says or advertises.It is very dishonest when manufacturers promise warranties and then use some legal jargon or fine print to get out of what the customer paid for.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $23000.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
