Purchased chest freezer from Sears manufactured by Midea America Corp. Sears was told by Dept of Energy that these units did not comply with federal energy standards and that Sears and Midea need to provide energy rebates annually to customers who bought this freezer.
We need to file every year for 10 years to get rebate! Crazy, right? We received 2 rebates and now we can't get Midea to return our calls. Have made numerous calls to Sears, including Corporate and no one will assist us.
We have spent hours on the phone with Sears getting the run around.
After 40 years...we are done with Sears. No more appliances...no more tools...no more nothing!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $215.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
