Our Kenmore refrigerator broke down. A service appointment was made and the date and time confirmed by Sears.
There was a week-long wait for the repairman. No repairman showed up for the appointment. During a call to the Service Department I was told that Sears didn't have enough repairmen. They could make a new appointment but no repairman could come in less than a week.
There wasn't a guarantee that one would come.
At no time prior to the iniitially scheduled appointment did Sears call to say that they wouldn't make their confirmed appointment. Sears had a week to call me. They could have called on the day of the appointment, but didn't.
Sears at one time was the "gold standard" for goods and service. Sears repair service should definitely be avoided.
