So just a note to say I will never ever use SEARS ever again! I had a full protection agreement on my washer and for 3 weeks, 3 straight appointments in a row NO ONE SHOWED UP to fix it!! I called the 3rd party who the job was outsourced to and they didn't even bother to call back. The service is horrible!!! and SEARS is repair is a joke!!!!! I want a full refund on my money for the protection agreement and Sears says call back tomorrow, our files need to update over night!!!

I agree 100%, I purchased a Kenmore refirgerator, leaks when making ice, or so it seems. They don't stand behind their products. I don't shop at sears anylonger for anything.

I called the service center the first week of July and informed Sears that my a/c was leaking excessive amounts of water and sounded like a babbling brook. The tech who took the call ask me basic maintenance questions regarding the unit and I informed him I cleaned...

Sears in New York, New York - Service Contracts

Aren't worth much. They don't have enough repair people. Washington heights only gets service three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday. No service after 5pm so working people are stuck with Saturday calls. I just called to schedule a second service call. The repairman didn't have a motor with him this past Saturday. The motor arrived today. There are no appointments left for this Saturday. I have to wait ten days with water standing in the bottom of the dishwasher. They make no allowance for working people with no one at home. And they really don't care. Service is arranged through an internet chat window. Am sure that the person on the other end cares not at all.

Sears Repairs - the Worst!

I called Sears Repair Service on 11/8/12 to request a service call for my Kenmore freezer. It is under an extended warranty. An appointment was scheduled for that afternoon. The technician arrived that afternoon, inspected the freezer for 45 minutes and told me that he did not have the needed parts and that he thought that a replacement freezer would be supplied. He said that he would report his findings. I heard nothing from Sears and called on 11/15/12. The customer service rep said that the technician failed to request a replacement when he was at my home and that another appointment would have to be set up for another technician to visit and certify that the freezer could not be repaired because the parts were not available. An appointment was set up for the afternoon of 11/15/12. No technician called or visited. I called again and was told that the technician did not show up (I knew that!) and that nothing could be done until the matter was escalated. I called 1-800-479-6351 and was told that an appointment was set up for 11/17/12 in the morning. I received an automated call this morning to say that the technician would arrive in the afternoon. I called at 2:00 PM and said that I had not heard from the technician. The customer rep told me that she sent a request for the tech to call me with his arrival time. I called again at 4:40 PM. I spoke to a technician who said that I would receive a call. I told her that the last rep told me the same thing and that I needed to speak to a supervisor. I have been on hold for 13 minutes listening to horrible music, but the supervisor did not pick up. The only way that I get satisfaction is to post to Social Media. This is NOT the first time that Sears Repair Service has dropped the ball. I don't know if a human who cares will read this, but I will start posting negative comments and reporting Sears Repairs to the BBB when I finish this email.

Sears service is a total rip off

I bought a refrigerator from Sears with a 5 yr onsite warranty. They promised 24 hour delivery. Warranty had $500 spoiled food insurance, guaranteed replacement w/3 problems in a year, and 24 hour service. It took 4 weeks to deliver, was installed wrong, and broke 4 times in the first year. We lost $1000 in food. It took 6 weeks for a technician to show up to fix it. The store couldn't help, they never paid the food claim, and I hired a local appliance repair company to fix. Sears is a ripoff. They didn't post my complaint on their consumer blog website.

I'm right there with you. 5 repairs on the same appliance (fridge freezer) now I have a freezer full of thawed food, with the 6th sears repaire man in my kitechen as we speak.

I am in total house renovations and I can tell you...The Sears of years ago, is not the sears of Today. I will never purchase another appliance large or small from Sears

The things you claim are not the way the protection agreement reads. You might want to look at your paperwork a little closer.

Sears My Home

Sears MY Home repair is unreliable. I will never again buy a Sears item that might require in home service. My lawn tractor was scheduled by Sears to be repaired May 4. That day, Sears called to say that a tech had a family emergency and the repair date was cancelled. They did not offer the day after for a repair, but May 29. After some arguing they scheduled a May 15 date. Sears MYHOME schedules appointments at their convenience, not at the convenience of the customer. Further, I cannot find the name of the executive in charge of operations or the name of the president of the company to e-mail.

To SearsMyHome,

I am very sorry to read about this issue with the service on your lawn tractor. Unfortunately with lawn and garden season starting, people are pulling their lawn tractors out of storage and finding out that they need service on them and most of the lawn and garden certified technicians are booked solid with these service calls. There are times when techs are delayed or God forbid have a family emergency and that will cause everything to be pushed back. Of course we do all we can to get those impacted customers the soonest service due to that fact and you shouldn’t have to wait so long for your service. My name is Brian and I am part of the Sears Cares Escalations team. At your convenience, please contact my office via email at searscares@searshc.com so you don’t have to continue to be frustrated by this situation. In the email, please provide a contact phone number and the phone number the tractor was purchased under (if different than the contact phone number) and we will call you directly. Also, in your email, please provide the screen name (SearsMyHome) you used to post on this site, for reference to your issue, and we do look forward to talking to you soon.

Thank you,

Brian J.

Sears service

I am just another pissed off customer whom until today shopped at Sears stores. I am in the process of having my dryer fixed. The first visit is to look at the problem with my dryer. No parts. Has to order and takes my $, then they keep cancelling the repair. When you call customer service they have no clue. The people are as automated as the set up program. Then you can not get a number for any correction. What a poor company. Just ripped up my Sears credit card, and called to put inquire in for the worked paid for.

Sears Service Hasn't Fixed My Refrigerator after 11 days

My refrig blew on Sunday 5/18, Sears sent an incompetent Tech 5/19, even with the entire house reaking of refrigerant he said there was nothing wrong. Second Tech came 5/21 and found *** in the evaperator coil in 5 min., called his boss and advised to replace refrig. his boss insisted replace compressor, evaporator, coolant coil and motor. Parts were delivered 5/22, set up third service call even though tech. admited he never seen this extensive repair work. On 5/23 Sears broke appt. resch. for 5/28. it's been 11 days without a refrig. and little hope for tomorrow. Shop anywhere but Sears, esp. for service. Lost $350 of food and cost $300 so far to feed my family at fast food and resturants. I wrote to CEO hope it helps. My e-mail is ljs911@nyc.rr.com and suggestions help. Larry

Sears in New York, New York - Sear's Poor Warranty Service

Both my dishwasher and dryer broke at the same time. Since I bought them from Sear's, I called their repair center. They informed me that a service call was $75.00, and since it was two appliances they wanted to make two calls, presumably to rip me off of $75.00 Then they told me that my dryer was still under an extended warranty that I had purchased. I decided to go ahead and make the appointment for the dryer only. I had to wait TWELVE DAYS for an appointment. Ridiculous. I was told they'd be here January 3rd (2008), between 8am and 12pm. I called several times a few days in advance to tell them that I had to be out of the house by 12, so they had to be here before then. By 11:40 they still weren't here. I called, got through to a supervisor, and told her I had to go out for ONE HOUR, between 12 and 1, and to make sure the repairman didn't come at that time. Even though they inconvenienced me, they refused to accomodate me. I was told that they would get here when they got here, and if I wasn't home I would have to make another appointment. It is now 1:55 and they still aren't here.
