Kenmore refrigerator compressor broke down two years after purchase, was repaired and two years later compressor broke down again on 11-8-2020. After several calls to Sears this past month (on hold for over 10 hours) and delays by RR Appliance Service (Sears service), tech determined that refrigerator can not be repaired due to previous tech cutting lines short.
Tech suppled all information with photos to RR Appliance on 12-3-20. On 12-7-20 Mike Hodges GE Rep warranty,. sent e-mail to RR Appliance acknowledging receipt of information. Food loss claim also files on 11-13-20.
Over 24 day ago with no contact from Sears with status pending. Today 12-9-20 after several hrs. with 3 different Sears Reps. who advised that there is no information or claim action recorded regarding the refrigerator being replaced.
Finally made contact with Sears rep. Vicky warranty department who advised that GE portal system has been down for over one week and my claim for the refrigerator replacement is not in the system. Vicky was very helpful and assured me that this claim will be processed as soon as possible when the GE portal is repaired. Vicky has been very helpful in explaining the process.
I have spent over 10 hrs.
on hold with Sears and it has been over one month that we have been without a refrigerator. Still waiting.
