On May 28, 2015, my wife, daughter, son-in-law and their 3-year old daughter walked into the Sears Store located in the Edison Mall in Fort Myers, Florida, to purchase a new car seat for the little girl. Having done some internet research we had a good idea which seat we were looking for.

We located two seats, both sealed, which looked lie the item we were interested in. Naturally, we wanted to see the seat unpacked and were looking around for help. Because nobody seemed to be around, we went to another department and located an elderly sales person who offered to help, but even after several attempts to page another associate, nobody showed up even after we waited at least ten minutes. Finally, we took one of the sealed boxes to the check out where we explained our predicament to the only associate on duty.

She reluctantly opened the box for us and we made the purchase for $79.79 on our Sears Card.

I have been shopping at Sears for some fifty years and NEVER had an experience like this before: A customer willing and able to buy and no sales person on sight!

It will be along time before we visit an Sears Store again. Such unbelievably shoddy service does not merit the patronage of customers.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
