Don't buy a warranty from sears.

Instead of sending someone out to fix my washer of 1 year, they ordered a part that will come in a week. Then I am to call for a repairman to install it. Warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on

When you talk to customer relations they don’t have any sympathy to you As a customer they want to throw more parts at a freezer that only cost $800 they want to throw eight teen hundred dollars with the parts edit to try to repair it instead of replacing it which is stupidThis will be my third technician out here to tell me that they want to put parts on it without replacing it because they don’t want to do the paperwork When you try to talk to a manager there either busy or not on duty

Why would anybody still purchase a appliance or use service from sears. They are the worst in the business. By from a local appliance dealer and use a local repair company

Details
Purchased several appliances with service contracts. Have problem with stove and needed someone to come out. They were told that we have a 92 year old incapacitated mom on oxygen and on a special diet. We we told no one could come for 5 days and that we should unplug the stove and turn off the gas. When I asked how my mom was supposed to eat they said that they didn’t know. Their non-caring, nonchalant attitude was extremely disconcerting. Done with Sears, forever.

The Craftsman line has been sold. That is why you can obtain their tools in places other than Sears.

Your agreement with Sears Roebuck and Company is now nil, null, and void. It was THEIR lifetime, not yours ; and they are failing fast.
