Well said and incredibly accurate! When an independent repair contractor refuses to work with Sears, the 'heads up' is their refusal to expedite service due to their business not being paid for the work that they did for Sears. However, the manufacturer warranty still applies and supercedes the repair request by Sears using their own repair services. The manufacturer is required by Federal law to perform your repair at their expense (service call, parts, labor) within that the terms of the items warranty. Please refer to Consumer Reports.org for information regarding your warranty and the definitions outlining your purchase. I have posted the information in a review/response previously.

In addition, please apply the contact information here at Pissed Consumer to hasten the process to inform Sears SHC by email. By imploying these steps, you had to take to get your matter attention and to assist others who are undergoing the same treatment. PC has other users and commentators who can help in the meantime.

In directly dealing with the manufacturer, this may save you additional problems with Sears and the manufacturer is obligated to fulfill replacement or a full refund. Check with the Missouri AG consumer protection division to see what can be done, and how the manufacturer will honor your request legally and rightfully.
