Sears - Return
I bought Garage door opener and was planing to install it next day, Next day, I opened the box to read installing instruction and I found there is more work than expected " since the new model is powered by belt not chain and it require lot of modifications", so i decide to return it. Went to the same store with the item in the original box unused.
Salesman told me there is 15% charge as restocking fees because the box is opened! I told him it is does't make sense could you show me where does it say it in the return policy on the receipt? he told me it is not written there but it say it here and he pointed to the policy hanged on the casher desk, he was not expecting me to read the policy, I read the policy and it is doesn't say anything about a restocking fees for open box. I asked him to show it to me he refused and he said I don't want to argue with you.
I asked him to call his supervisor and he start whispering while he walking to me, he came and he told me yes this the rules and I will make exception for you. i refused and asked him to show me the rules, it just seem not right to fool people, lets just be honest and respect the law.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
