Depftford NJ Sears .com order
On 12/30/2111 we went to the Deptford NJ store to purchase winter boots
for myself and my wife. The store had no size 10 waterproof/winter
boots in stock. After several minutes the sales clerk, offered
to order the boots online and have them shipped to our house for free.
During the order process, we handed the sales clerk. a card with our address on
it. During the process the sales clerk, called us the wrong name. I corrected
him. Then the wrong address. I corrected him several times with the
correct information and pointed out all the information on the card we
handed him.
Once the order was placed and paid for, John C, handed me a receipt with
the incorrect address on it. John C, called what he called, .com and
they said they could not do anything with the order.
We went around and around with the sales staff and their managers. We left the store assured they would take care of the address change.
They did not take care of it. Late last night they sent us an e-mail saying they were unable to change the shipping address. They took our money and entered all the information in wrong and then made it our problem to fix.
We tried UPS, but only the sender, Sears, can change the delivery address.
Today, the boots were delivered, but the wrong address.
After this, we will never enter another Sear store again. If they cannot handle a simple winter boot order, we cannot trust them to process an appliance order we were planning on making.
Monetary Loss: $70.
