Sears Appliances Failure - Ridiculousness
We have had our Kenmore STOCK No. 13472N MOD 665.13472N410 which we purchased 11/21/2014 just under 3 years ago.
May of 2015 (just 6 months in) the machine stopped working. Did not wash the dishes - First repair and replacement of Control / Electrical component. Product Failed again a number of times (Same issue, water not moving around inside, not washing the dishes) in June/July of 2016 where another repair call was made and more parts replaced in July 2016. This time Latch for Tablet dispenser.
Product Failed again in Aug 2016 and was repaired again (FINALLY) in October 2016. This time Hose, Clamp, Control/Elec (AGAIN) and Motor. Product failed again July 2017 - Called and rep came in and had it working fine for the whole 15-20 minutes he was here. 1 day after he left it is again NOT WORKING when put through an entire cycle...any cycle.
Sears is refusing to replace this machine which is quite obviously not working as expected. Since they only consider service order within a 12 month period they are refusing to replace this defective machine unless we continuously take time off work to sit home and wait for a rep who sometimes shows and sometimes does not. We had a service call scheduled for Aug 2nd 2017 between 1-5pm and the tech never showed. Called them at 4pm and they informed me @ 888-880-**** that the appointment had been rescheduled BUT NO ONE LET US KNOW THAT.
Had to reschedule and take another day off work for a tech to come here and test my appliance for 20 minutes and leave. He said to me it was intermittent but there is no report of his findings on file at Sears per my call with them as I write this. I have waited on hold with their 30-60 minute wait times and then hear that my dishwasher does not qualify for replacement. So now I have to have another tech come back here to once again tell me that this machine does not work.
Spoke with both Adrina and Derek at 800-927-**** and have recorded call.
Denied and was told by Derek the 'Supervisor' that he could not provide me with anyone over him, no name, nothing and all I could do was write a letter to the PRESIDENT and CEO of Sears, Eddie Lampert at 3333 Bevery Road, Hoffman Estates IL 60179 to complain...Write a letter to the CEO of Sears (and I'm sure he'll be opening it). #sears #searssupportsucks #searappliancesdefective #kenmoresucks #kenmoredishwasherdefective #searsservicesucks #kenmoregarbage #kenmorediswashercrap #kenmoreMOD665.13472N410
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Monetary Loss: $400.
Preferred solution: Replacement that works as expected - One that actually washes dishes.
Sears Cons: Customer service stinks, Refusal to not fix the problem and the lack of caring, Shady business practices, Sears failure to apply warranty from date of install, No solution, Bureaucratic layers in corporate office.
