Sadly, our experience is not unlike many others when it comes to their customer service and home delivery. Grand Rapids Michigan store in the Woodland Mall location.
Upon delivery of a Kenmore Range, the delivery people from Diakon sat the unit in the snow to install the electrical cord in the back. This was just the beginning of the problems. Without taking the current stove out first, they proceded to bring in the Kenmore. They thought nothing about, and were actually irritated and argumentative when i asked them to wear booties or protect my wood flooring in some way before walking through my house.
In the small area they had to work with now, with two ranges in the same area, I watched as these two clowns pull and drag the older unit out and to the side to put the new one in place. In this process they scraped the wood flooring with no concern or care. Finally when they got the new Kenmore in place, there was a dent on the front of the drawer on the range. Clearly visible.
I noticed and showed the delivery guy and noted it on the delivery paperwork. The Sears Company that contracted with these clowns and Diakon themselves, will neither provide support or timely attention to rectifing the damage to the unit or the flooring.
Customer service is poorly lacking in this company. Sure isn't what it used to be!
This reviewer shared experience about "most of the above! " and wants this business to issue a full refund as the author lost $1000. This person is overall dissatisfied with Sears. Reviewer wants customer support to reach our to him or her ASAP for further discussion of this matter.
