Avoid sears a&e factory service scam

Do not use sears as a repair company or appliance retailer.The company does not care about repairing your product they are only concerned with how much they can upsell you. When you call for service you will be pressured into purchasing a whole house warranty. If you do not buy they will set a service appointment with a technician. When the technician shows up he will pressure you into purchasing one. One sales tactic being used is they will jack the estimate up high and then offer you a discounted repair if you purchase the warranty. Very unethical company use somebody local who will be happy to have you as a customer and will address your issues.Rochester NY

Sears is outsourcing there work and not honoring the terms or there contracts. You should call and cancel to get a refund while they are still in business.

The reply just stated that I have a repair date and I should be happy. The service department is very busy. I just have to wait until the repairperson shows up.

Sears Service Didn't Show So We're Moved to the End of the ***???

Scheduled Sears service for our garbage disposer two weeks ago for yesterday between 1-5 pm. Nothing at 6 pm . Called and told it has changed to 8:45-10:45 PM! Tech finally called 8:30 pm and said too late. We'd have to reschedule. Rescheduler said next available is one & one-half weeks out. Sorry, but YOU missed the appointment and you should not put us at the back of the ***. We should be FIRST on the NEXT day. Sear's service scheduling practices are horrible. They have no concept of good (or even satisfactory) customer service. We've done our last business with this sorry company.

I have purchased appliances from Sears for years with the extended warranties for my businesses and they have always sent out repair people in a relatively timely manner. Over the past year or so, they have outsourced their service agreements and it is HORRIBLE. Our washer and dryer have not worked for weeks. We are still under our 1-year warranty and I cannot get anyone to come out and repair our washer and dryer. We were scheduled for July 5th, 2016 and after waiting weeks for this repair appointment, they simply did not show up. When I called to complain, everyone I spoke with apologised and let me know how sorry they were but NO ONE has the power to change the situation. We were rescheduled for July 14th, 2016 with no explanation other than the service tech was running late on the day we were scheduled. I have cancelled our extended warranties because they are simply not worth the paper they are written on. I honestly believe that Sears is trying to get consumers to cancel their contracts. Why else would they outsource their Service? Their reputation is built on service.

Actually you shouldnt complain about the people not speaking proper english since you suck at it, you can not even write correctly. I hope sears gives you the $59 back so you can take some english lessons aswell

Sears - Repair Review from Phoenix, Arizona

I am outraged about the shoddy, insensitive service and rip off prices that Sears provided my 95 year old mother. She made an telephone appointment with Sears to repair her stove between 3 pm and 5 pm. Sears them left her a message that they would be at her home between 8 am and 5 pm, ignoring her arrangements. This forced caused her anxiety and kept her awake all night long for fear she's miss an early morning call. The technician arrived at 3:30 pm. Them she was charged an outrageous $382, almost half the cost of a new stove, for a tiny replacement of a minor part. We will never do business with Sears again.

Sears in Wylie, Texas - Repeated repairs with no positive result

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher from Sears 5 years ago. In that time, we have had it repaired at least 5 times, most recently in March 2015 and again in November 2015. Now it is broken again, and of course the warranty on the repair expired after 90 days. Very disappointed and surprised that Sears does not fully back their products. We talked to 8 people, and basically they told us to learn to fix it ourselves. They also offered to repair the product again, but all they will do is replace the same part that they replaced 4 months ago, which is again broken, so we feel like we are caught in an endless loop. We will not purchase from Sears again, nor will we purchase Samsung appliances.
