Purchased a lawn tractor from Sears with an extended warranty. First day would not start had to remove the battery and return to the store for replacement. Only after getting upset in front of store customers did they replace the battery.
Now have called for in home service since I broke down completely today, and my grass is growing hourly, it will take three weeks for a repair person to come out to replace a $2.50 part which I could order and that would take 11 days to deliver or I could pay an additional $20 for this $2.50 part and have it delivered in three days. Again I have purchased a warranty and have to become the parts runner and repair person. I will be looking for the part at John Deer or Snapper dealer tomorrow. I will also be searching any web site that I can to tell my story of Sears terrible customer service and warranty departments.
I do not blame the people I have talked to on the phone however, it starts at the top and this needs to change.
