OMG you are so right. No wonder they are in the crapper. I went to Sears.com and bought an electric cooktop on sale. I also purchased the installation services. When the inventory of the order came up after purchase, it was noted that the installation was for a "gas double oven." I shrugged it off until my installer called and said to me that he was confused as to why I purchased a gas installation of an oven instead of an electric cooktop. I tried every *** number that everyone within Sears gave me and everyone passed the buck. The problem is I was overcharged (gas is harder to install) for installation and the installer can not install the electric cooktop without a corrected order. No one will correct it nor will they refund me the difference etc because NO ONE KNOWS whose job it is to do so. AND it's the website that only gives you ONE choice for installation when you go to purchase this electric cooktop (which by the way ONLY comes in electric...no gas option at all). I will try this phone number but I think a once great company is going down hard.

It's not great anymore , shop somewhere else everything they touch is a disaster. Eddie said they have plenty of customers they don't mind chasing more away.

They have so many customers yet they are going bankrupt.

Sears - Layaway problem

How hard do you think it would be to create an online layaway site that works ? My attempt to make a final payment and have the item delivered I purchased from Sears.Com was anything but easy, in fact I was unable to process the final payment. Multiple customer calls, e-mails to Sears Service, on-line chat, Facebook Messenger and calls to Sears stores did not help. If you desire frustration, dealing with incompetence or feel like making multiple calls with no results, purchase something from Sears.com. I have tried to give Sears my business to help prevent them from going out of business, whoever is in charge should take a course in business 101 and get their head out of their ***.

As usual Sears has another online screw up. Tried to register my Sears MC that the sales clerk talked me into getting for a $10 discount. But when I went to register it online at Searscard.com, the links did not work and I kept going around in circles for 45 minutes trying three different browsers and calling customer service only to get told to try again later. Anytime you attempt to do any business online with Sears it is a nightmare. Time to stop shopping at a store that has failed its loyal customers of many decades. Sell your Sears stock, this old retail dinosaur will never recover.

I'm done shopping at sears. 3 strikes and you are out. Strike 1: I had to wait 2 hours past the time i was told my oil change would be done. Never told they were short handed or anything. Just left me stewing. And to top it all off on the final receipt at the top where is says time promised to customer it said the time i got it. not the time it was promised to me so it looked like the car was returned on time. Strike 2: I bought about $400 in tools and a new tool box. It took forever for them to find the toolbox. Finally got it home and put the tools in it only to find it had been tweaked and wouldn't sit flat on all 4 corners so it teetered whenever I was digging for tools in it. I emptied all the tools and took it back to exchange it. They wouldn't take it back because it was the last toolbox like that they had. Told me it had been on clearance. I offered to give it back and pay full price on a different toolbox but they said no. Really? Strike 3: Optical. Where I live I'm very limited on where I can buy glasses. It is the end of the year so we have to spend the insurance money or loose it. I ordered 2 new sets of glasses. They are suppose to be in before Christmas. So I know how busy they can be this time of year and how things slip through cracks and phone calls not get made. I looked online and seen they close at 7pm. So I drive into town through all the *** traffic and get there about 10 minutes before they close. Whats this? They are closed already? Its only 6:50! Oh my what do I see....sign says they close at 6pm. So I drove all the way to town for no reason and now I have to fight traffic all the way home again and for nothing. Yes I could have called but still the website SHOULD be correct as much as people use it to get information they need about the store!! If I could cancel my order on my glasses and stop the payment on them I would!!! I will not shop at sears ever again. Its no wonder they are struggling to stay open.

Sears online purchase "Available for Pick Up", NOT!!!

Surprise, surprise! If you go online to purchase an item that shows it is currently available for Pick up, you will be unpleasantly suprprised to find that they then are shipping it 2-day shipping to your local store for pick up. Sears basically tricks you into a purchase that is not available for pick up by telling you that it is. Then I telephone their customer service, which Sears sends their customer service overseas so that you are speaking with a foreigner who does not fully understand. I get him to agree to cancel in 3 days once it arrives at the local store, he can't send me a cancellation email and then hangs up on me when I ask to speak to a supervisor in the US. I am done with Sears! They are dishonest, they send US jobs overseas, and get away with hanging up on you when you want assistance. My order number is 976392021.

Sears in Riverview, Florida - Mattress Horrible Policy

I bought a mattress and box spring via a customer service rep. Sears delivered regular box springs vs correct low profile. When I had the time, 91 days later they would not honor a returen. So, I bought another boxspring online at Sears. The website allowed for the purchase of one versus the two you need to make up a mattress. When I tried to return because I bought the correct boxsprings. The company could not take back the item for 30 days and after 90 days will not return at all. Please do yourself a favor and use another company bc this company's policy are rigid and ridiculous.

Don't deal with Sears

Sears refuses to let me make a payment in the store because their website is down. I made every payment on time or early on line but now that I'm trying to make the last payment the site won't work. I have called to complain about it 5 times and I always get the "wait 24 to 48 hours, then try to make the payment again." It never works! So today, I hear that we are some 3,000 complaints down on their fix list. It's just idiotic! I have the money to pay and they won't let me. I said to the rep ... "just call the store manager and let them know we're coming in to make the payment and they can arrange for the delivery." The refuse to do that. I'm never ever ever shopping with Sears again. They are in breach of contract on a $500.00 purchase and they won't even refund my money which is stealing!!!
