Went to the Tallahassee store twice, 60 mile RT, to replace a warranted Craftsman pruner. Out of stock.
Store clerk said "just order it on line and we'll replace it when it comes in." Fine so far. Ordered it 13 Oct, got a confirmation email that said it would be avail for pickup 2 DEC. So they charged my card on 13 Oct. Not too happy about a 7 week delivery of a standard Craftsman item; they have a lot to learn about online orders and delivery to the store.
I'm a pissed consumer and won't be buying anything from Sears. If this is an indication of their standard service, it's no wonder they're struggling to survive.
