I opened my Sears account in 1978 soon after graduating from college and have been a loyal customer for nearly 40 years now. Placed online order Thursday for Water Heater and installation. Got email confirmation stating that next day Friday until 9 PM I will be contacted by the installer to schedule. No call. Went on line to get the status that stated delivery for 4 days forth. Saturday I called the number on the order and talked to somebody in Asia. I spent 3hrs.on the phone trying to get a resolution as to why I can't get my renewal thru my e-mail since they lie that they can't mail it out. Everyone who I spoke to or transferred to, in total 10 people did nothing but apologyse for the previous person. The last person put me on hold then the call dropped. I ordered a necklace on may 6th of this year. I received a message that it would be in the following tuesday. I waited until the following friday to check at the store. The jewelry deparment sent me upstairs to receiving. Their response was "Did they email you that it was in". No message, no email. I will NEVER order or shop in this store again. That includes KMart as well. Too bad retired people have to go through something like this. Read more

I also have a Sears return complaint. I have bought tons of (beds/tools/treadmill/garage door openers/clothes) items from Sears. I bought a dress for a wedding for my daughter. She is away at college and is only home now and then. She wanted to look as soon as Spring dresses were out for the June wedding. She found one at Sears, so we bought it in mid-February. OVERPRICED AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. TOOK 3 APPTS TO GET AN ESTIMATE AND WHEN THEY FINALLY DID THE ESTIMATE FOR 2 BEDROOMS TO GET CARPET IN THEY WERE MORE INTERESTED IN SELLING ME HIGH END CARPET THEN LISTENING TO ME THAT I HAD A BUDGET TO STAY IN AND THAT I HAD RADIANT HEATING FLOORING. I ordered some items for Christmas on 12/3, with a delivery date of 12/14 from Sears.com. I noticed when checking the status of my order on 12/13, that it stated it was processing. I then contacted online chat with customer service, and was told my item was out of stock and would have my items in 3 to 5 days, he guaranteed me that. I purchased a Kenmore washer and dryer set and was so excited to get these items in my new home. When purchasing these, we were told we would have free delivery and installation. The washer and dryer were not in stock so they had to order from the warehouse which was fine. I received a call a few days later that they would be delivered 3 days later. I had a service call with sears from 8:am to 1:00 pm . It is 5:15 no call and I have called them 16 times and lied to every time. No phone call or anything. I have bought so many appliances from the but not again. Customers should be your number one focus. I see why so many stores have closed.

I have been trying to get a washing machine delivered since 5/22/15 to no avail. I was FINALLY ASSURED of a deliver 5/28/15, between 8-12, I received ANOTHER call from sears saying my delivery time, is between 10-12. I immediately called sears again and after speaking with people THAT DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH and requesting SOMEONE THAT DOES SPEAK ENGLISH for 40 MINUTES, I finally gave up.
