If everybody reading these complaints will stop and remember when Sears started to decline in all areas. How about when the discrimination complaints were filed and one part of the settlement was to hire more minorities instead of qualified employees.
This is when it started. This is the new American way of doing business. No excuse, it's called training. I too am a minority by government statistics.
I too have ordered an item that was scheduled for delivery on 16 February but showed up on 9 February. Sounds great but it was the wrong item, no where close. I was informed by more than one delivery driver that this is normal procedure for items ordered thru Sears.
If your not there when delivered you cannot refuse item, therefore you are screwed, no return procedures, no refune. But you can contest your credit card charges.
